Flight Training Tour

Overview

This 1-3 weeks training aimed to provide participants an opportunity to experience actual flying practice (5-15 hours) and apply the flight knowledge and flying skills that have learnt in the classroom and the flight simulator. Each student require to attend 3 lectures and 1 flight simulation practice in Hong Kong before departing to Melbourne for the flight training.

Student who are aiming first solo or preparing airlines cadetship application is suggested taking 10-15 hours training. For students with less or no previous theory studies, additional theory tutorials will be provided in order to meet the required knowledge standard.

About the Flight Training School

This year we are delighted to have co-operation with Australian National Airline College (ANAC), a well-known flight training school in Melbourne, with the head-quarter located at Moorabbin Airport. ANAC has a 100% safety record since they started pilot training in 1990. Currently they have 55 aircrafts for different flight training programmes across 4 training bases in Australia.

About Moorabbin Airport

Moorabbin airport is one of the biggest and busiest airport for General Aviation and Flight Training in Australia. It has a long history in Aviation Training and Education which currently houses 14 flight training organisations for fixed wing and rotary wing aircrafts and other flight operations.

Flight Training in Melbourne, Australia

A 1-3 weeks training for students to undergo actual flying experience.

Compulsory lectures and briefings in Hong Kong
- Basic flight theory
- Aircraft familiarisation

Shared-time flight simulation exercise in Hong Kong

7-21 days flight training practice in Melbourne, Australia. (Moorabbin Airport)
- 5-15 hours dual flight training* on a 4-seater training aircraft (PA28)

Age requirement: Min. 14 yrs old

Prerequisite: No previous knowledge is required, but student needs to demonstrate general english skills.

Group 3 (June) - 7-21 Days Training

Compulsory lecture: 13, 20, 27 May, 2026 (1900-2030)

Flight simulation: 24 May, 2026 (1500-1800)

Flight training practice: 31 May - 6 Jun, 2026 (Group 3A); 7-13 Jun, 2026 (Group 3B); 14-20 Jun, 2026 (Group 3C)

**Flight ticket between HK and Melbourne is not included. Price includes shared twin room accommodation, single room is available with additional charge.

FAQ

Any previous experience is required for this tour?
- No prior experience is required. We welcome any aviation enthusiasts or anyone who wants to explore a new challenge joining this tour. If you are aiming for first solo, we can help you with additional tutorial for the necessary knowledge.

What kind of aircraft will be used for the training?
- The training will be using a 4 seater training aircraft (PA28).

What is the 5 hours flight training about?
- Each participant will have 5 hours of dual flight training with the instructor. Participants are expected to learn the basic flying skills including straight and level flight, climb and descent, turning and stall recovery depending on the progress.

How many hours do I need?
- We would recommend student to take 5-10 hours for the first time, unless you are aiming for first solo, which require approx. 15 hours of training,

Can I have additional flying hours?
- Yes. Participants can pay extra for additional hours, subject to weather conditions and flying school arrangement. Payment has to be paid to Aerocentre prior additional flying hour starts.

Is there any requirement of English ?
- There is no specific english requirement for basic flight training unless student aim for first-solo flight. But student are required to demonstrate general english skills throughout the training.

Is accommodation and transportation included?
- Accommodation and local transportation between training airport, accommodation and Melbourne international airport is included during the flight training period. Price includes shared twin room, single room is available with additional charge.

Is flight ticket from Hong Kong included?
- No. Flight ticket between Hong Kong and Melbourne is not included. We will suggest preferred flights for group pick up at Melbourne airport.

Are the lectures and flight simulation compulsory?
- Yes. Each participant need to attend all lectures and flight simulation practice prior to flight training.

Is there any test or exam for the lectures and fight simulation?
- No. There is no exam for the lectures but we are expecting participants to pick up the basic flight knowledge and flying skills for better learning outcome. Student for first solo training will attend a mock exam in Hong Kong prior the flight training.
